I love that delightful mix of rustic and elegant in a room. The gilded French chair with a chipping table next to it. A burlap covered seat with an aubusson pillow. A chandelier in every room- even if it’s a closet or a hallway. Everyday elegance- like setting a table with vintage china and fine stemware and an abundance of beautiful blooms is a favorite thing. Especially if it’s on an old weathered farm table in the middle of the woods with a chandelier hanging from the branches. I love creating that ambiance and inviting the conversations and laughs to linger a bit longer. A Winter Pinecone Themed Tree

How tall is your tree?

It is 6.5’ ft tall, I think.

What mix of ornaments did you use for this tree?

I used mainly round glass ornaments in various shades and finishes (glittered, snowy, matte, and shiny) of white and pale pink, along with twigs that I gathered in the yard, snowy pinecones, and a few little berry sprigs. I also added just a couple of more detailed ornaments like a couple white birds, glass drops, delicate shapes, and mercury glass pinecones and baubles to finish it.

How many ornaments did you use to achieve this look?

I think I probably used about 40-50 glass ornaments and 2 packages of snowy pinecones, along with probably 12 detailed ornaments.

How did you decide on the decorating theme of your tree?

I wasn’t sure what theme I would go with until the tree arrived. When I saw the dark green color of the branches and the fullness that it had in its shape, it just seemed like something that complemented it rather than overwhelmed it was perfect. So I stayed with natural touches (branches and berries) with ornaments that were not too over the top.

Is there something different you did for this tree that you particularly like?

By using things gathered from nature, like the twigs, and keeping some of the focus on natural elements, like the pinecones, I think the tree turned into a much more “nature”- themed tree that instead of feeling overly decorated, fits right into the neutral decorations in the room.
