Seaside Style
Even if the beach is hours away, you can still bring seaside style into your home this Christmas.
To create an enchanting, coast-inspired look for your Christmas tree this holiday season, begin with the stately 9-foot Allegheny Evergreen Outdoor Tree (its heavy-duty, all-weather construction means this tree is safe to use outdoors). Adorn its branches with a few simple, beach-themed decorations, and use a thick brown or grey rope as a garland. You may also hang several Winter Frost Glass Ornaments (in frost blue, champagne and platinum). Finish the look by tucking starfish, pine cones, and seashells — found on your family’s own beachcombing adventures — in the foliage.
What inspired you to do a coastal-themed tree?
It seemed like a fun way to mix a bit of summer with Christmas.
How did you decide which ornaments to use, and how many?
I wanted soft coastal colors, and the blues and whites felt like a good fit for the beach look to me. I didn’t use that many – just enough to very lightly cover the tree.
What did you enjoy the most about decorating this tree?
I love the rope garland and starfish – so fun.
What sets this tree apart from other trees you’ve decorated?
It has a very specific theme with the beach-inspired look, and it is decorated simply.
