Red, White, & Champagne

How tall is your tree? And what type of Balsam Hill tree is it?
I have the 9’ Red Spruce Slim.

Which of its features did you like the most?
I love that my tree is so realistic; everyone tries to touch it to confirm that it’s not real.

What mix of ornaments did you use for this tree?
I usually decorate the tree to enhance the room’s décor. Soft gray and taupe are the colors in the room, so I chose to accentuate the tree with champagne and muted tones with soft, elegant glitter. I also added pops of color with red silk poinsettias.

How many ornaments did it take to achieve this look?
A lot of them in various sizes.

How did you decide on the decorating theme for your tree?
I like to adorn the tree to beautify the room, and since this room is in neutral tones, I accentuated the tree that way, while also adding a pop of Christmas red.

Is there a story on a signature ornament that you would like to share?
Birds are my special signature ornaments. For this year’s tree, I decorated it with white doves and added white feathers and cardinals.

Is there something different that you did for this tree that you particularly like?
I brought nature into our home by putting white ostrich feathers, red glitter branches, and champagne branches on the topper.

Aside from traditional ornaments, what do you normally use to decorate your tree?
I decorated with pinecones, feathers, and berries to really bring in a lot of nature themes.

Are there any tried-and-tested tree decorating tips that you’d like to share?
In general, it’s important not to think of decorating as a single entity. Every room should connect to the decorations in some way, so you don’t end up with a very choppy-looking, disjointed home. Choose a color that will carry through the home so everything connects and flows together. This way, your tree is an enhancement. Use a style you love and use it throughout your living space.
