A Classic Red and White Tree

Which Balsam Hill tree did you decorate and what feature did you like most about it?

I selected the Frosted Sugar Pine tree. I loved that it was very full looking and had a light flocked look to it.

What ornaments did you use to adorn the tree? Did you have any particular favorites?

I selected the Nordic Frost ornament set. I loved the frosted ornament with glitter branches and red sparkly berries, but they all were just gorgeous!

Where do you get your decorating inspiration from?

My aesthetic typically is coastal, so I chose a classic red and white tree to go along with all my blue and white accents in my home. I draw inspiration from time-worn pieces and the ocean.

Do you have special techniques when decorating a tree?

The first thing I do when I decorate a tree is apply the ribbon. I like to tuck it in and out so it almost looks like it is woven into it. I love using a big chunky ribbon to get this effect. Then I like to use batting for a heavier snow look on the branches. I apply it in chunks and then thin it out here and there to create a whimsical look.

How would you describe your finished look?

I would describe this tree as a classic tailored looking tree. It really fits into any home decor with its timeless accents.
