Ashley

Hi Guys! I’m Ashley, the one behind the DIY Projects here at Cherished Bliss. I have 3 beautiful children: Aubrey, Addison, and Adam. We didn’t exactly plan for the all A names, but I guess that was God’s way of saying I would probably never call my kids by their correct name. ; ) My wonderful husband and I live in Wisconsin with our 3 silly kiddos where I spend my days changing diapers (hopefully that will end soon) and blogging. It’s hard being away from family, but we do love the city we are in! I have an intense addiction to coffee. It’s a requirement for my day to start, and without it… well, let’s just pretend that never happens! I absolutely love to build anything with wood, not legos, I’m terrible at building anything lego related. One of my favorite things to do though is refinish an old piece of furniture that someone thought was too ugly, or decided they would just set out on the curb. I never get mad at those people though because hey, more furniture for me! If you were ask my husband what I would do with it he would probably say that I’ll paint it white (not going to lie, probably true), I might also stain it!

White and Gold Rustic Glam Christmas Tree

What type of Balsam Hill tree do you have and how tall is it?
It is a Shasta Fir, and it is 6.5 feet tall.

What mix of ornaments did you use for this tree?
I used gold and white balls, white snowflakes, gold glittery ornaments, eucalyptus springs, and wood slice ornaments.

How many ornaments did you use to achieve this look?
I used quite a few, starting with the balls, then I added glittery ornaments, the words such as Noel and Joy, and finished it off with the eucalyptus and wood slice ornaments.

How did you decide on the decorating theme of your tree?
I am always drawn to rustic decor, but something about Christmas just needs a little bit of glitter!

Is there something different you did for this tree that you particularly like?
I have been using this tree every year, and really enjoy changing it up! One year, I did an old-fashioned tree with popcorn garland. This year, I went with an industrial farmhouse look, which you can see in my home tour.
